The web server packages can be installed from the default CentOS 7 repository.<\/p>\n<p>Install Apache\/httpd using the yum command below.<\/p>\n<pre>sudo yum -y install httpd<\/pre>\n<p>After the installation is complete, start the service and enable it to launch every time at system boot.<\/p>\n<pre> systemctl start httpd\r\n systemctl enable httpd<\/pre>\n<p>The Apache\/httpd web server has been installed on the system - check it using the netstat command.<\/p>\n<pre>netstat -plntu<\/pre>\n<p>And you will get the default HTTP port 80 in the LISTEN state.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-979\" src=\"https:\/\/www.coimbatorewebhosting.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Zabbix.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"791\" height=\"297\" srcset=\"https:\/\/coimbatorewebhosting.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Zabbix.jpg 791w, https:\/\/coimbatorewebhosting.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Zabbix-300x113.jpg 300w, https:\/\/coimbatorewebhosting.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Zabbix-768x288.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 791px) 100vw, 791px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"step-install-and-configure-php-on-centos-\">Step 2 - Install and Configure PHP 7.2 on CentOS 7<\/h2>\n<p>In this step, we will install PHP 7 from a third-party repository - we will install PHP 7.2 from the 'webtatic' repository.<\/p>\n<p>Before installing PHP 7 with all extensions needed, add the webtatic and the EPEL repository to the system.<\/p>\n<p>Run commands below.<\/p>\n<pre> yum -y install epel-release\r\n sudo rpm -Uvh https:\/\/mirror.webtatic.com\/yum\/el7\/webtatic-release.rpm<\/pre>\n<p>Now install PHP 7.2 packages from the webtatic repository using yum.<\/p>\n<pre>yum -y install mod_php72w php72w-cli php72w-common php72w-devel php72w-pear php72w-gd php72w-mbstring php72w-mysql php72w-xml php72w-bcmath<\/pre>\n<p>And after the installation is complete, we need to edit the default 'php.ini' file using the nano editor.<\/p>\n<pre>nano \/etc\/php.ini<\/pre>\n<p>Change the values of the configuration as shown below.<\/p>\n<pre> max_execution_time = 600\r\n max_input_time = 600\r\n memory_limit = 256M\r\n post_max_size = 32M\r\n upload_max_filesize = 16M\r\n date.timezone = Asia\/Kolkata<\/pre>\n<p>Save and exit.<\/p>\n<p>Now restart the httpd service.<\/p>\n<pre>systemctl restart httpd<\/pre>\n<p>The PHP 7 installation and configuration for Zabbix has been completed.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"step-install-and-configure-mariadb\">Step 3 - Install and Configure MariaDB<\/h2>\n<p>Install mariadb-server using yum command below.<\/p>\n<pre>sudo yum -y install mariadb-server<\/pre>\n<p>After the installation is complete, start the service and enable it to launch everytime at system boot.<\/p>\n<pre> systemctl start mariadb\r\n systemctl enable mariadb<\/pre>\n<p>Now run the command below to configure MariaDB root password.<\/p>\n<pre>mysql_secure_installation<\/pre>\n<p>Type your root password and press Enter.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-980\" src=\"https:\/\/www.coimbatorewebhosting.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"644\" height=\"567\" srcset=\"https:\/\/coimbatorewebhosting.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/1.jpg 644w, https:\/\/coimbatorewebhosting.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/1-300x264.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 644px) 100vw, 644px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>MariaDB database has been installed, and the root password has been configured.<\/p>\n<p>Next, we need to create a new database for our Zabbix installation. We will create a new database and user named '<b>xxxxxxxxx<\/b>' with password '<b>xxxxxxxxxx<\/b>'.<\/p>\n<p>Login to the MySQL shell.<\/p>\n<pre>mysql -u root -p<\/pre>\n<p>And run the following MySQL queries on the shell.<\/p>\n<pre> create database zabbix;\u00a0\r\n grant all privileges on zabbix.* to xxxxxxx@'localhost' identified by 'xxxxxxxx';\u00a0\r\n grant all privileges on zabbix.* to xxxxxxxx' identified by 'xxxxxxxxx';\u00a0\r\n flush privileges;<\/pre>\n<p>New database for Zabbix installation has been created.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-981\" src=\"https:\/\/www.coimbatorewebhosting.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"799\" height=\"483\" srcset=\"https:\/\/coimbatorewebhosting.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/2.jpg 799w, https:\/\/coimbatorewebhosting.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/2-300x181.jpg 300w, https:\/\/coimbatorewebhosting.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/2-768x464.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 799px) 100vw, 799px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"step-install-and-configure-zabbix-\">Step 4 - Install and Configure Zabbix 3.4<\/h2>\n<p>we will install and configure Zabbix. We will install Zabbix from the official repository, then configure Zabbix-server and Zabbix-agent.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Install Zabbix Packages<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Add the Zabbix repository to the CentOS 7 system.<\/p>\n<pre>yum -y install http:\/\/repo.zabbix.com\/zabbix\/3.4\/rhel\/7\/x86_64\/zabbix-release-3.4-1.el7.centos.noarch.rpm<\/pre>\n<p>Now install Zabbix using the yum command below.<\/p>\n<pre>yum -y install zabbix-get zabbix-server-mysql zabbix-web-mysql zabbix-agent<\/pre>\n<p>Wait for the Zabbix packages installation.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-983\" src=\"https:\/\/www.coimbatorewebhosting.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1328\" height=\"580\" srcset=\"https:\/\/coimbatorewebhosting.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/4.jpg 1328w, https:\/\/coimbatorewebhosting.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/4-300x131.jpg 300w, https:\/\/coimbatorewebhosting.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/4-768x335.jpg 768w, https:\/\/coimbatorewebhosting.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/4-1024x447.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1328px) 100vw, 1328px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Import Database Sample<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Import the Zabbix database sample to our 'zabbix' database. Go to the Zabbix documentation directory and extract the Zabbix sql file.<\/p>\n<pre> cd \/usr\/share\/doc\/zabbix-server-mysql-3.4.10\/\r\n gunzip create.sql.gz<\/pre>\n<p>Now import the database sample to our 'zabbix' database.<\/p>\n<pre>mysql -u root -p zabbix &lt; create.sql<\/pre>\n<p>Type your root password and make sure there is no error.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-984\" src=\"https:\/\/www.coimbatorewebhosting.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/5.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"724\" height=\"96\" srcset=\"https:\/\/coimbatorewebhosting.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/5.jpg 724w, https:\/\/coimbatorewebhosting.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/5-300x40.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 724px) 100vw, 724px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Configure Zabbix Server<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zabbix.com\/download\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Zabbix-server<\/a> is the central process of the Zabbix software system.
